Develop and run a research program that builds foundational technologies that will impact aging. The UBC School of Biomedical Engineering and the Centre for Aging SMART at Vancouver Coastal Health are hiring an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) and will be eligible to hold the external VCHRI Cordula Paetzold Chair in Innovations in Aging. Candidates should have the goal of improving function, health, and quality of life for older adults and people with complex clinical needs or living with a broad range of cognitive and physical challenges. The Centre for Aging SMART at Vancouver Coastal Health seeks to positively impact the health and quality of life of individuals living with the effects of aging or disability by developing novel Solutions for Mobility, Activity, Rehabilitation and Technology. The partnerships between the Centre for Aging SMART, Vancouver Coastal Health and the University of British Columbia are key to developing health care innovations that can be rapidly moved into practice and policies to improve the lives of patients and families today.
